After the movie, I imagined its writer-director, Garth Jennings (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) being more than a little like Will, and the movie uncannily similar to one of Will's comic epics.. . A joyous, touching story of friendship, mischief and imagination.. The rapport between the two rogue cineastes is enough to carry both films: the one they're making and the one Jennings is trying to make.. . A noble effort, but it just kind of falls apart..
